Another problem is the misunderstanding of what is an "unlimited" hosts. The critics of overselling will tell you there is no such thing as an unlimited hard drive or unlimited bandwidth. Both are finite resources. While this is true, no host is making this claim. Don't confuse unlimited with "infinite." They are two entirely different concepts that are being mashed together by the critics of overselling.
While there is a finite amount of space on a disk drive, the limit is defined by the hosting plan, not the entire drive. "Unlimited disk space" is a hosting plan term, not a new type of hard drive. If you have a 1GB web site, 100GB of space is just as unlimited as an infinite amount of space. Unlimited means: you get as much as you need."
Be wary of the critics of overselling. While most are honest, some use the confusion as a marketing device to sell fewer resources for more money.

Conclusion

Overselling occurs with many web hosts. Overselling in and of itself has no affect on server performance. That's because it is a marketing term and not a technical term. With good server management overselling can lead to an efficient use of resources.
Use good judgment when looking at web hosts. Bear in mind that people who rent server will be paying between $79 and $499 a month for a typical web hosting server. If a host is saying "1GB space and 10GB bandwidth for $1 a year," then they need at least 1000 customers on a $79 a month server to make a profit. And at $79 a month, the server won't be very powerful.

What is a blacklisted IP?

Every website and mail server is on an IP, a numeric address to identify the server. The IPs for servers that are known or believed to send out spam typically end up on some or all of over 100 email blacklists. These blacklists are called domain name system blacklists (DNSBL), DNS blacklists, or realtime blacklists (RBL). Each blacklist has its own criteria of what must happen for an IP to be on their list and for how long, and some blacklists are better maintained than others.

Most email servers use one or more of these blacklists to identify probable spam and to prevent it from reaching its intended recipients.

Having spammers' IPs blacklisted is good for everyone except spammers. However, sometimes those IPs are used for other sites as well, or the spammers stop using those IPs but they remain blacklisted for future users. Or email sent using those IPs may have been misidentified as spam, resulting in the IP being on a blacklist by mistake.

If your IP is blacklisted

If your site or mail server is using a blacklisted IP, your email recipients may not receive your email. You need to either get your IP off of the blacklist(s) or change to a non-blacklisted IP. This can be done by changing the IP itself or by changing your web hosting provider or ISP, depending on where the blacklisted IP is.

How to find out if your IP is blacklisted

A number of websites have IP blacklist checkers. Do a search for "blacklist IP check" or "blacklist IP checker" and then enter your IP at one or more of the sites in the search results. Not every blacklist IP checker site will check all IP blacklists, so you may need to go to more than one site to find out which IP blacklists have your IP in their database.

How to try to get your IP removed from blacklists
Sometimes you can get your IP removed from a blacklist after making contact at the site for the IP blacklist(s) that your IP is on. After identifying which blacklist(s) list your IP, go to the websites for those blacklists, read their removal procedures, and contact the site administrators with the information they ask for. If the IP is for your website, you can ask your web host to take these steps.
Some IP blacklists remove IP after a period of time, possibly a day or less, has elapsed since the last spam complaint was received. If your IP is listed by one of these IP blacklists and the spam has stopped, you may only need to wait.

1. What is FTP, and what is an FTP client?
FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol and is most often used to transfer data from a computer to a web server over the Internet. An FTP client is an application that is used to upload files from a computer to a server.

2. How FTP works

2.1 The technical explanation

FTP uses the TCP/IP protocol to transfer data between one computer and another. The two computers involved in FTP have different purposes; they are the server and the client.
The server, running FTP server software, listens for connection requests from any FTP clients coming from the network it is connected to, such as a local intranet or Internet. The FTP client, running FTP client software, will send a connection request to the FTP server. Once accepted by the server, the FTP client can perform a number of operations on the data that is accessible by the FTP login. For instance, an FTP client can upload new files, modify existing ones on the server , delete files, modify file permissions, and more.

2.2 The practical explanation

When you purchase a web hosting account, you are assigned an FTP path, port, username, and password. You can use an FTP client to upload your web page files via FTP to the server. Except for files in protected directories, the web content you upload will be accessible to anyone who visits your website.
Most operating systems such as Microsoft Windows have built-in FTP support. However, it is recommended to use an FTP client for easier uploading of files. FTP clients usually have more features, such as drag-and-drop and the capability to upload only changed versions of files.

3. FTP clients

Numerous free and commercial FTP client programs are available. Some run on just one operating system (e.g., Windows or Mac), while others run on two or more. They offer different combinations of a wide range of possible features.

4. Web-based file managers

Most or all of the more popular control panels include web-based file manager applications. With these file managers, users can upload files from their computers to their websites by logging into their control panels. Web-based file managers lack many of the time-saving and other features that FTP clients have. However, they eliminate the need to have an FTP client installed on the computer, and beginning webmasters may find them easier to use.
